To existing and potential homeschooling families,
It is official! Committed Christian School (CCS), which is a ministry of Calvary Chapel La Habra will be offering a Private Satellite Program (PSP) for the 2009-2010 school year. If you are investigating or already homeschooling, CCS extends an invitation for you to be a part of our school year.
While CCS has been around for 8 years (since2001),we are transitioning our cooperative to focus back on its original purpose: to offer support, Christian fellowship,and encouragement to parents and students who are homeschooling. These objectives are in the early stages of development but envisioned to be accomplished through the following:
· CCS will provide support to simplify the burden of your record keeping responsibilities and help families meet the legal requirement sof California state law. (We are a privateschool with an affidavit (R-4) on file with the California Department ofEducation).This will include keeping records on file such as attendance, course of study, immunizations, and transcripts (HS only)
· CCS will offer fellowship opportunities throughout the school year for both parents and students.
· Encouragement can take many forms and we intend to be both intentional and creative to meet this goal, whether through God’s Word or simple interaction on a one-to-one or group setting.
For CCS to be effective for the next school year, we need your involvement and feedback. We are revisiting CCS’s capabilities and resources as a co-op and would like to know your opinions as well as to provide a forum to answer your questions. We understand that a co-op may not meet everyone’s needs but with the blessing of Calvary Chapel La Habra and with God’s favor, we intend to partner with you in your efforts in homeschooling.
