Children's Ministry Future programs and events
AWANA Clubs - AWANA is a program for children who will be 3 years old by Sept 1st, 2010 through 6th grade. The word AWANA is actually an acronym for "Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed" which comes from 2 Timothy 2:15. AWANA Clubs is an outreach ministry with the goal of reaching boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him. AWANA uses the Bible to teach our young people to honor God and learn how to serve Him through applying His word to their lives. It is an exciting time for clubbers. It will also be an exciting time for you as you see the children memorizing God's word, hiding it in their hearts, (Psalm 119:11) and applying it to their lives. We are looking to start AWANA in the Fall. If you are interested in serving in this area please visit the AWANA table in the foyer.
VBS Week - We are excited to announce the 2010 VBS Theme, "High Seas Adventure". During this cruise, campers will dive into God's word and discover that God's word is True, God's word is Comforting, God's word is Surprising, God's word is Life Changing, and God's word is for Everyone. The High Seas adventure will set sail July 19th and complete it's journey on July 23rd. Please visit the VBS table in the foyer during service times or come by the church offcie during church office hours. If you would like to pre-register your child or if you would like to help serve.
Summer Long VBS Program - As you know VBS is an annual outreach to the kids of CCLH and to the surrounding community. This year's VBS is July 19th-July 23rd. However, this year we are looking to kick off VBS in June on Wednesday nights and end in August. This will be a 9 week program that will lead up to "VBS Week". On these nights the kids will begin to learn the VBS songs, study the bible passages that will be featured during "VBS Week" and make a craft to emphasize the Bible point as well as participate in a fun game activity. If you would like to serve on these nights, please visit the Summer long VBS program table in the foyer. Click here to fill out servant volunteer form.
