This
is the area in which we plan to aid in the church plant and
work with the Youth.
This
is a traditional Thai fishing boat that landed next to a
house about 1 1/2 miles in from the ocean. The Thai
Government plans to establish a Tsunami museum here at this
location.
We have purchased the building and land next to this to plant
the church and youth facility.
A
coastal resort which shows how high the wave came in from
the tide line.
This resort held 250 people, all of which were lost.
The
group from U-turn for Christ began ministering in the area
of Baan Muang, the refugee camp where the displaced people
of Baan Nam Khem went.
They
were given this tent to serve the people. It is the only
known Christian ministry area in all of the 20 camps along
the coast. They have received tremendous favor from the camp
organizers and continue to see people receive Christ and be
discipled.

these conditions for at least 1- 1 1/2 years.

Receiving names from the people of Baan Nam Khem who were
desiring that the churches back in the states pray for them.
They eagerly gave there identification cards to insure we
would pray.
James Garwood is one of the men living in the Camp at Baan
Muang working with the kids. He arrived in the area a week
after the disaster and has been serving there since. He has
an incredible gift for servingthe kids.

kids are being taught by Christian groups coming from the
states and are learning from the Bible as their text for
Reading and English.
The
team playing with and bringing joy to the kids who have been
distressed over losing loved ones.
We are continuing to look for gentle and loving people to
come to serve the Thai people.

Pastor Chizuo of CC Kokubunjie in Japan was able to go with
us to observe the opportunities for the Japanese churches to
get involved in reaching out.
Muslim leaders, of a village that suffered severe damage,
receive prayer after receiving donated goods needed to
cook food in their homes.
The
group of pastors listen as Rose Martinez, who has been
working in Thailand for 25 years and operates 4 orphanages
in Thailand, shares her vision to open a Children's Crisis
Center to house orphans of the Tsunami.
